Automatic and Self-Serve Dog Washing Machines for Car Washes

Customers who arrive with a dog pay on the touchscreen and choose a program for their dog’s coat length. The machine washes, rinses and warm-air dries the dog in 20 to 30 minutes on average, then sanitizes the empty washing chamber. It needs water, drainage and power only.

Self-Serve Dog Washing Machines for Car Washes: Why They Suit Your Lot

A car wash already has most of what a dog wash needs: paying customers, utilities and hours that run with no one on site.

What your site has, and what the machine needs

Car wash format Who is on site Where customers step out of the car Placement to consider How customers pay for the car wash
Self-serve bays Often no one for long hours In the bay, to wash the car A or B Pay station in the bay
In-bay automatic Often no one for long hours At the vacuum area after the wash B Pay station at the entry
Express tunnel with free vacuums Attendants at the entry At the vacuum area, never in the tunnel B Pay station or wash club at the entry
Full-service or hand wash Attendants throughout While staff wash the car C At the counter
Car wash on a fuel forecourt Staff in the shop At the pump and the shop B or C Pay station or shop till

Where to Put a Dog Car Wash Station on Your Site

Illustrative layout, not a real installation.

Put the machine where customers already get out of the car. Express tunnel customers who stay in their vehicle will not use a dog car wash station, so look at the vacuum area, the self-serve bays and the pay station.

A Converted Self-Serve Bay

A bay that earns little gives the machine a roof overhead and an existing drain. Keep the touchscreen out of reach of spray from the neighboring bays, and settle where the drain discharges before you order. Customers park beside the bay and walk their dog straight to the door

In or Beside the Vacuum Area

Tunnel and in-bay customers already stop at the vacuums and get out of the car. A machine at the end of the vacuum row stands where they are already standing. Keep it clear of the vehicle lanes, and give dog owners a walking route that does not cross traffic.

Against the Equipment Room or Building Wall

This position gives the shortest runs for the water supply, the drain and a dedicated power circuit. It also keeps the machine beside equipment your team already checks. Make sure customers can reach it on foot without walking through a wash lane.

In an enclosed position, such as a bay with doors or an indoor room, plan for ventilation. The machine exhausts humid air (20% of its airflow) and uses ozone to sanitize the chamber.

Site Checks

Each machine ships fully assembled and tested in a wooden crate, and removable bottom rollers help your team move it into final position. A local plumber and electrician make the connections, with our online installation support available 24/7. Before you book them, read the site and utility checklist for installation.

The Business Case for a Dog Wash at Your Car Wash

We do not publish revenue figures, because what a commercial dog wash station earns on your lot depends on your customers, your prices and your hours. Here are three ways to set it up, and the numbers each one needs from you.

Paid per Wash at the Touchscreen

You set the price per wash and the opening hours in the backend, and customers pay on the touchscreen with POS cashless payment. On FA-2025A, these settings come with the optional smart management backend. The driver: dog owners per week who would use it, times your price, minus running costs. See touchscreen payment and backend options.

Added to Wash Clubs and Prepaid Plans

If you sell unlimited wash clubs or prepaid washes, dog washes can be sold the same way. The membership system supports membership top-up, stored value, session packages and coupons; on FA-2025A the membership plan is optional.

Earning From Space You Already Have

A self-serve bay that sits idle for much of the day, or a corner of the vacuum area, is space you already pay for. The driver: what that space earns today, against what a dog wash would need to earn to cover its running costs. Run both numbers before you decide.
